COMPLIANCE WITH ACCREDITATION STANDARDS AND QUALITY OF CARE INEMERGENCY SERVICES.

Introduction: The Peruvian Ministry of Health has developed accreditation standards, which include 14 macroprocesses. Among these, macroprocess 10, focusing on emergency services, stands out. These standards were created to be met and ensure quality in health services.Objective: To analyze the available scientific evidence on compliance with accreditation standards and quality of care in emergency services. Materials and methods: a systematic bibliographic review was carried out on hospital accreditation standards, the quality of health care and the hospital emergency service, with scientific articles
published in regional, national and international sources, in Spanish and English, in the period 2017-2020,
indexed in the databases: Scielo, Scopus, Elsevier and Web of Science. Conclusions: The strategies for
compliance with the accreditation standards that are sought to be developed will depend on the
involvement of managers, heads of offices and / or departments, as well as all health personnel as a whole.
Achieving with the fulfillment of these provide quality care for the benefit of the patient with their
satisfaction and acceptance of them.
