Organizational design of an academic department of the faculty of medicine with a professional career in 4 different areas

The article addresses the importance of organizational design in the Academic Department of Medical Technology of the School of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos located on Grau Avenue in Lima, Peru. It highlights the relevance of efficient management to achieve accreditation of the School of Medical Technology, exploring its four distinct areas. The contextualization includes the analysis of indicators in university teaching, organizational principles in public universities and criteria for organizational design. Experiences in administrative management focus on leadership, quality in university teaching and the impact levels of departments in quality improvement. Finally, a management system based on the Deming cycle and the self-evaluation process is proposed to achieve accreditation and continuously improve educational quality.
