Abstract

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) en su reporte “Global tuberculosis report 2012” señala que para el año 2011 había un estimado de 8,7 millones de nuevos casos de tuberculosis (TB), causando cerca de 1,4 millones de muertes a nivel mundial. En los últimos años se evidencia la presencia de la enfermedad en relación a personas VIH-positivas (13% de coinfección)(1).
