PYOMETRA IN A NON-GRAVID UTERUS OF A PREGNANCY WITH DIDELPHYS UTERUS

We report the case of a 26 year-old woman with a gestation of 30 weeks with a didelphys uterus, who presented abundant purulent vaginal discharge, mild burning pain in right iliac fossa. Laboratory tests showed C-reactive protein 11.38 mg/dl, vaginal secretion GRAM 25x 30 leukocytes per field, low presence of gram-positive coccus, leukocytosis, mild anemia, Ferm test negative, colposcopy showed dark purulent dischargeby a rudimentary cervix. Received antibiotic therapy and pus drainage. There was no involvement of the fetus and the patient improved favorably.
